The Nifty has cut down a colossal 100 points, falling below 23,400. The Nifty Bank has also cut its losses to 270 points. 700 points. Hindalco, Bajaj Finance and Tata Steel are the big losers.

The indices have managed to make some recovery from the opening decline, even as the market looks set for 5th straight week in the negative. The Nifty is down over 130 points, falling to 23,350. The Sensex is down over 350 points, crashing towards 74,200.
The index needs a close above 23,897 to prevent a weekly loss, and that is over 650 points away. The previous session's intraday low of 23,380 will be important to watch, while 23,500 on the upside stays a key level.
If Thursday's CAS session ignited any hope of a revival in the Nifty bulls, the overnight price action in crude and the US bond markets should put them to rest. Brent crude is now at $108 a barrel, while the US 10-year yield is nearing the mark of 5%.
For the Nifty Bank, which is down nearly 700 points now, 56,500 on the upside is an important level, while Thursday's low of 56,231 will be key to prevent the index from tumbling towards the 56,000 mark.
