Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who is on an official visit to the United States, faced major embarrassment after a group of people shouted “shame on you, mass murderer" and “shame on you, dictator" upon his arrival at a hotel.
In videos widely shared on social media, people could be seen arguing with the authorities in the United States, yelling that they have a freedom of speech.
Another video showed a poster which read, “Mass Murderer Asim Munir".
According to Dawn, Munir arrived in Washington on Sunday for a five-day official visit aimed at reinforcing military and strategic ties between Pakistan and the United States.
The report also claimed that Munir did not attend the military parade.
