Jharkhand Minister Hafizul Ansari stoked a row after he said that Shriyat comes first for a Muslim and the Constitution of the country later.
His remarks drew the BJP’s ire, which attacked the INDIA bloc.
“Shariat is bigger for me. I keep the Quran in my heart and the Constitution in my hand. Muslims carry the Quran in their heart and the Constitution in their hand. I will first hold Shariat in my hand, then the Constitution," Ansari told the media.
