The US authorities on Wednesday reported a shooting in Minneapolis, where federal agents are carrying out a major immigration crackdown.

Several videos shared on the social media platform X showed a heavy presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape, and multiple vehicles involved in a crash.

The City of Minneapolis confirmed the shooting on X, stating that it occurred near 34th Street and Portland Avenue.

“We are working to confirm additional information, but what we know is that the presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city and making our community less safe," the city said on X.

No further details were immediately available. In the footage, bystanders can be seen blowing whistles and shouting at the federal agents, urging them to leave.
