Seven years after a fallout with stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover is re-uniting with his co-star of many years in The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix which is all set to begin from March 30. The other cast members include Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur and Archana Puran Singh.

For those not in the know, Grover and Sharma were part of the hugely successful The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony for many years but prior to that, they had also worked on Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors. It was a hugely successful pairing with the entertainers ensuring plenty of laughs from the audience.

However, it was reported in 2017 that Sharma and Grover got into a verbal spat on a flight from Melbourne where they had gone for a show. It was said that Sharma was drunk and allegedly even threw a shoe at Grover. The latter remained calm but naturally, did not work with Sharma again. In a Facebook post all those years ago, Sharma had written, ““We eat together.. we travel together.. I meet my brother once in a year.. (but am) spending almost every day with my team... specially Sunil... I love him.. I respect him.. yes I had to argue with him. But r we not normal people..? I shouted at him first time in 5 years... itna toh chalta hai bhai,” he wrote in the post.

When asked about their reunion, Grover laughed it off saying it was a prank they had pulled off because they knew they would be coming on Netflix. “I was doing fiction shows at the time and it used to get really hot. There is AC on this set,” he joked. On a serious note, Grover said that he feels blessed to be back on the show where he doesn't feel that he is working. “It feels like I am back home. We keep laughing during the making of the show and people laugh at our jokes. I have a lot of gratitude for it,” he said.
