Swiggy launches instant gifting service ‘Giftables’ ahead of festive season

Swiggy has rolled out a new service called Giftables, an instant gifting platform that allows users to order and deliver curated gifts within minutes.

The service, currently available in Bengaluru, offers over 10,000 gift options ranging from cakes, flowers, and chocolates to perfumes, electronics, jewellery, and toys. Customers can combine multiple items into a single order and have them delivered either to themselves or directly to the recipient within 10–60 minutes.

The feature is accessible through the Swiggy app and will be expanded to Mumbai, Delhi, and other metros in the coming weeks, the company said in a statement.

Swiggy is also set to introduce an AI-powered gifting chatbot, which will recommend items based on the occasion, relationship, or recipient’s interests and personality traits.

Giftables allows users to browse by occasion, recipient, or category. Orders can be customised, such as pairing cakes with flowers or chocolates with perfumes, without having to use multiple platforms like Swiggy’s food delivery and Instamart services separately.

"With Giftables, we’re solving a real consumer pain point. Gifting is often last-minute and full of uncertainty. With Giftables on Swiggy, users get curated, high-quality options delivered in under an hour. No more juggling platforms or settling for uninspired gifts," Swiggy Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer Phani Kishan said in a statement.

The launch comes ahead of the festive season, a period when gifting typically spikes.
