The highly anticipated second season of HBO’s Emmy-winning drama The Last of Us is set to premiere on Monday, April 14. Indian audiences can stream the seven-episode season exclusively on JioHotstar. The series, which gained critical acclaim for its first season, continues to bring the beloved video game franchise to life with its gripping storytelling and compelling performances.

Season 2 picks up five years after the events of the first season, with Joel and Ellie facing new challenges in a world that has only grown more treacherous. As they navigate personal conflicts and external threats, their journey takes unexpected and emotionally intense turns, promising viewers a darker and more unpredictable narrative.
The returning cast includes Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria. Several new faces will also join the series, with Kaitlyn Dever portraying Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, and Young Mazino as Jesse. Other new cast members include Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Additionally, Catherine O’Hara will guest star in the upcoming season.
Created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, The Last of Us is based on the acclaimed PlayStation® video game series developed by Naughty Dog. The show is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television, with Mazin and Druckmann serving as executive producers alongside Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Writer Halley Gross is also credited as a co-executive producer. The production is backed by PlayStation Productions, Word Games, Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.
