VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam completed
summer placements
for the MBA 2023-25 batch. The highest stipend offered was Rs 2.4 lakh. The average stipend stood at Rs 69,000, with a median stipend of Rs 60,000. The top 10% of students received an average stipend of Rs 1.58 lakh, and the top 25% of the batch secured an average stipend of Rs 1.17 lakh.
The top 50% of the batch also received a healthy average stipend of Rs. 84,000.
The summer placement season at IIMV witnessed enthusiastic participation by both new and existing recruiters spread across industries and domains. Held on a rolling basis, over 163 companies participated in the process, making multiple offers. This included 103 new recruiters offering roles across various domains.
IT and consulting sectors remained the
top recruiters
, accounting for 26% of the total offers made. The following sectors also saw significant placements: BFSI (23%), manufacturing (14%), EdTech and education (11%), FMCG (8%), retail (4%), healthcare (4%), construction (4%), and other sectors (7%).
