US President Donald Trump on Monday made a startling revelation, expressing the possibility of a mole with his administration while addressing a crucial press conference on the recent rescue of an American airman from Iran. He indicated that officials are actively working to identify the individual responsible for leaking details of a sensitive rescue operation in Iran.

Trump revealed that the leak exposed the presence of a second US airman still stranded in Iran following an initial rescue. He noted that this information was previously unknown to Iranian forces, and its disclosure complicated the mission.

During the briefing, Trump stated, "We’re looking very hard to find that leaker." He warned that the administration would insist that the media organisation responsible for publishing the report reveal its source. Emphasising the seriousness, he added, " security – give it up or go to jail."
