As full-blown trade war is underway, US President Donald Trump has raised tariffs on Chinese imports into America to a total of 245% “as a result of its retaliatory tariffs", according to a White House Fact Sheet.

The latest escalation in tensions between China and the US came as Beijing told its airlines to stop receiving more Boeing planes in response to the earlier imposition of 145% tariffs on the Chinese imports by the US.

“More than 75 countries have already reached out to discuss new trade deals. As a result, the individualized higher tariffs are currently paused amid these discussions, except for China, which retaliated. China now faces up to a 245% tariff on imports to the United States as a result of its retaliatory actions," the White House Fact Sheet said.
