Former British Home Secretary Suella Braverman has warned the UK and the world saying that Britain could “fall into the hands of Muslim fundamentalism" and could become an ‘Islamist nation with nuclear weapons’ like Iran.
Speaking at the Heritage Foundation in Washington DC this week, the former UK minister said there was a need to “Make Britain Great Again".
Echoing the views of US Vice President JD Vance, Braverman said, “Vice-president JD Vance said at the Conservatism conference, at which I also spoke in the summer, that the UK was going to be the first Islamist nation with nuclear weapons. I don’t think he was joking."
Too many people are coming into our country who do not abide by our laws, sign up to our values or respect our culture. In fact, too many wish to do us harm.
We have all had enough.

Braverman further raised her concern over the spread of Sharia law across the country.
“Born out of a broken relationship and weak leadership. What happens if the UK falls into the hands of Muslim fundamentalism, our legal system gets substituted for Sharia Law and our nuclear capabilities vest in a regime not too dissimilar to that of Iran today?" she said.
“Regardless of whether one thinks that is a realistic outcome, which I do not, should we not have the courage to ask these questions", she added.
She further emphasised on how the UK and not China or Russia could be the greatest threat to the US in the next two decades.
“Is it an impossibility that 20 years from now it will be the UK, not China or Russia, that will emerge as the greatest strategic threat to the US," she asked.
Braverman also termed mass migration as an existential threat to Western civilisation. “Mass migration is an existential threat to the way of life in our country and to Western civilisation", she said.
Hailing the victory of Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections as the victory of freedom, the British leader expressed hope for a revival of freedom in the Western world. “But now thankfully the tide is beginning to turn towards freedom. If the freedom revival fails in the US, we all lose and the loss will be irrevocable", Braverman said. “If the US wins, we will all have freedom. But the US needs its allies", she added.
Braverman is one of the most hard-right personalities in the Conservative Party in the UK. She was born Sue-Ellen Fernandes in west London to Christie Fernandes, a Kenyan of Christian Goan origin, and Uma Fernandes, a Mauritian of Indian origin, who arrived in the UK in the 1960s.
