Seven people were killed and 51 others were wounded in overnight Ukrainian drone attacks across Russia, Russian officials said on Saturday. The strikes hit warehouses, an oil facility and a residential building, while Russia said its air defences intercepted hundreds of drones over multiple regions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the long-range strikes hit two "significant logistical facilities in the Moscow and Tambov regions". "These facilities were used by the aggressor to supply sanctioned components for the production of drones and navigation equipment," he wrote on Telegram, adding that an oil facility was also hit. He also said Ukrainian special operations carried out strikes against targets in the Sea of Azov and in occupied territory.

According to Russian officials, two large warehouses of Wildberries, Russia's biggest online retailer, were hit overnight. One was in Kotovsk in the Tambov region, about 360 kilometres from the border with Ukraine, and the other was in Elektrostal, around 50 kilometres east of Moscow.

Tambov regional governor Yevgeny Pervyshov said seven night shift workers were killed at the warehouse in Kotovsk and 25 others were wounded. Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov said 24 people were wounded in Elektrostal. He added that two more people were wounded in Noginsk, north of Elektrostal, where an oil depot caught fire after a Ukrainian drone strike. A nearby maternity hospital and one residential building were evacuated as a precaution, he said.

In Vladimir, about 180 kilometres east of Moscow, a Ukrainian drone hit a residential building and caused a brief fire, governor Alexander Avdeyev said. He said there were no casualties. The Russian Defence Ministry said air defences intercepted 379 Ukrainian drones overnight over 19 Russian regions, as well as Crimea, the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

The overnight attacks left casualties in Tambov and the Moscow region, damaged key sites including warehouses and an oil depot, and sparked a fire in a residential building in Vladimir, while Ukraine said it had targeted facilities linked to Russian military supplies.
