Earlier on Monday, January 20, United Breweries announced that the company will resume the supply of beer to the Telangana Beverages Corporation Ltd. (TGBCL), with immediate effect.

The Telangana Government has assured United Breweries of a price hike decision soon, sources with knowledge of the matter told CNBC-TV18.
Sources further said that the decision on price hike is expected in the next 30 to 45 days.
With regards to the outstanding dues, they are likely to be cleared in instalments, sources said, adding that they will be cleared in the next 12-13 months.

"We have been in talks with TGBCL, and these have been constructive discussions," United Breweries said in an exchange filing, adding that the TGBCL had assured the company to address their issues on pricing and outstanding payments in a timebound manner.
Last week, United Breweries, the manufacturer of Kingfisher Beer had decided to suspend the supply of its beer to the Telangana Beverages Corporation Ltd. with immediate effect.
In response, Telangana's excise commissioner had told CNBC-TV18 that no dues are pending to the beer industry since September 2024 and that they have been following a 45-day cycle for releasing the payment.
Shares of United Breweries are currently trading 4.8% higher on Monday at ₹2,046.
