According to officials at Nellis Air Force Base, the aircraft crashed on Tuesday near Indian Springs, within the restricted federal grounds of the Nevada Test and Training Range.

An F-35 fighter jet crashed north of Las Vegas on Tuesday, the US Air Force confirmed, adding that the pilot survived with minor injuries.
According to officials at Nellis Air Force Base, the aircraft went down roughly 25 miles northeast of Indian Springs, within the restricted federal grounds of the Nevada Test and Training Range.
The pilot ejected safely and is currently receiving treatment for minor injuries, officials said, adding that the crash occurred within controlled airspace.
The cause of the incident was not immediately known, and an investigation is expected to follow.
