US-Israel-Iran War Live: Iran Attacks Base Hosting United States Troops In Erbil

The military of Iran said it carried out a drone attack on a base hosting United States troops in Erbil in northern Iraq.

The development was reported by Tasnim News Agency, citing the Iranian military.

The Indian Navy has started search and rescue operations in the Indian Ocean after receiving a distress signal from the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena, which reportedly sank following a torpedo strike from a United States submarine.

According to a statement from the Navy, the emergency alert from IRIS Dena was received by the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Colombo during the early hours of March 4. The rescue effort was launched soon after the signal was received.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that 13 attacks have been carried out on healthcare facilities in Iran amid the ongoing conflict in the region.

Further details regarding the locations of the facilities or the extent of damage were not immediately available.

The Israeli Air Force said its refuelling aircraft have carried out around 550 aerial refuelling missions so far as part of Operation “Roar Of The Lion.”

According to the air force, these missions were conducted by refuelling aircraft from Squadron 120, known as the “Desert Giants.”

Amit Malviya has dismissed allegations blaming India for the United States strike on the Iranian naval vessel IRIS Dena, calling such claims illogical and misleading.

In a post on X, he said, “Blaming India for the U.S. strike on the Iranian naval vessel IRIS Dena is both illogical and misleading.

The strike reportedly occurred around 250 nautical miles from India’s coastline, well beyond India’s territorial waters and outside its maritime jurisdiction. Under international maritime law, a country’s responsibility does not extend to every incident that takes place in the broader oceanic region merely because it is geographically nearby.

India shares maritime proximity with many countries across the Indian Ocean, but proximity cannot be conflated with control or accountability. Events taking place in international waters, especially those involving third countries, fall outside India’s legal or operational domain.

The United States Department of State said it is actively helping American citizens who wish to leave the Middle East amid the ongoing regional tensions.

In a post on X, the department said, “The U.S. State Department is actively assisting Americans to leave the Middle East, if they wish to do so.”

Canadian PM Mark Carney said he spoke with Abdullah II and conveyed Canada’s support for Jordan amid recent tensions in the region.

In a post on X, he said, “Tonight, I spoke with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, and expressed Canada’s solidarity with Jordan in the face of unprovoked attacks on civilians by the Iranian regime.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday spoke to French counterpart Emmanuel Macron regarding the evolving situation in West Asia and the need to restore peace in the region.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Spoke with my friend President Emmanuel Macron today. We discussed our shared concerns over the evolving situation in West Asia and the need for a return to dialogue and diplomacy. We will continue to engage closely and coordinate efforts towards the early restoration of peace and stability in the region.”

Speaker of Iran’s Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf commented on the ongoing tensions involving Iran and the United States, claiming that Iranian strikes are inflicting significant losses.

In a post on X, he said, “Aren’t the US commanders reporting on increasing effective and precise Iran strikes and the painful casualties they have suffered?”

He added, “US lawmakers have been said that they don’t have exit plan, but in media they bluff to control the markets. We won’t stop until the aggressor is punished.”

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has dismissed claims circulating on social media about a US F-15E aircraft crashing in Iran.

In a post on X, CENTCOM said, “Rumors circulating on social media of a U.S. F-15E crash in Iran early Wednesday are baseless and NOT TRUE.”

Iran has said it launched drone attacks targeting United States forces stationed in Kuwait, amid escalating tensions in the region.

In a post on X, Jaishankar said, “Spoke with FM Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi of Oman on the ongoing conflict in West Asia.”

The official X account of the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi has issued an advisory for Indian nationals currently residing in the United Arab Emirates amid the prevailing situation in the region.

In a post on X, the embassy said, “In view of the prevailing situation in the United Arab Emirates and the region, all Indian s currently in the UAE are advised to continue to remain vigilant, calm, adhere to the safety guidelines of the UAE Authorities and also follow official advisories issued from time to time.”

The gesture was made to convey India’s condolences following recent developments related to Iran.

The United Arab Emirates has announced an early start to the spring break for schools and universities, beginning March 9.

According to a report by Khaleej Times, the decision applies to educational institutions across the country.

Delhi: Representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India, Abdul Majeed Hakeem Ilahi said, “… There is a council for choosing the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This council is elected by votes during the elections in different cities and towns. There are 88 experts elected by the people, and one of this council’s responsibilities and duties is choosing the Supreme Leader.”

He explained that the council plays a key role in the political structure of Iran and is responsible for selecting the Supreme Leader when the position becomes vacant. The members of the council are elected by the public through elections held across various cities and towns in the country.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said it has summoned Iran’s ambassador after an Iranian drone attack on an airport in Nakhchivan.

According to officials, an Iranian drone struck the airport terminal, while another hit near a school in the village of Shurabad. Two people were reported injured.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has issued an advisory for the nationals residing in the UAE. The embassy urged Indian citizens to remain vigilant and adhere to safety guidelines.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) condemned the Iranian attacks in Iraqi Kurdistan, describing the attacks as a “clear act of terrorism”.

This came after Iran announced Thursday it had targeted headquarters of Kurdish forces in Iraqi Kurdistan, according to Iranian state media.

The KDP urged Baghdad to take “swift and decisive steps” to hold those responsible accountable.

The Israeli Defence Force (IDF), in a statement, said it struck multiple sites in Tehran.

“As part of the strikes, the IDF struck infrastructure belonging to the Iranian terror regime’s ballistic missile array. Among the targets struck: an underground infrastructure site used by the Iranian regime to store ballistic missiles and storage sites for missiles intended for use against aircraft”, said the IDF in a statement.

“Additionally, the IDF struck several launch sites of long-range ballistic missiles that posed a real and immediate threat to the State of Israel and its civilians”, it added.
