The US is stepping back from its peace talks role to end war between Russia and Ukraine, a State Department official said on Thursday.

The United States is pulling out of its role as a mediator for the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine due to a lack of progress between the two warring nations in ending the bloodshed, a State Department official indicated on Thursday (local time).
State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters that the US will “not be the mediators" going forward, suggesting President Donald Trump’s frustration at little steps taken from both Moscow and Kyiv to end the war that has now continued for over three years.
