US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a warm hug as they met at the White House on Thursday. Trump was heard saying, “I missed Modi a lot" as he greeted the Indian Prime Minister following his comeback to the White House.
Donald Trump called Narendra Modi a “great leader" and commended him for doing “a great job" in India.
“It’s a great honour to have PM Modi; he is a great friend of mine for a long time," he said.
Prime Minister Modi also congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US elections in November. “You made immense contribution in strengthening India-US ties. I believe that in your second term, we will work with more speed," he said, adding that echoes of successful rallies like Howdy, Modi! in Houston and Namaste Trump in Ahmedabad are major statements when it comes to India-US relationship.
