US Stock Market Live: It has been a very choppy first hour on Wall Street with the benchmark indices giving up at least one-third of the gains they had on Wednesday. The Dow Jones fell as much as 2,150 points, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq are also down between 6.5% to 7% on Thursday. The White House has also clarified that tariffs on China will now be 145% and now 125% as declared earlier. The officials did admit that the bond market moves did accelerate the reversal of the earlier decision of tariff imposition. Yet, many fund managers are urging caution and advising not to buy the dip, due to volatility. Retail inflation eased in March but that may not do much for the Fed to cut rates in May. Yield on the 10-year remains around 4.31%, but the sell-off in oil prices has resumed with Brent falling back towards $60 per barrel. Watch this space for all the live updates.
