US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told Bloomberg that the US and China had finalised a trade framework. He added that the Trump administration is on track to secure similar agreements with 10 other major trading partners soon. China’s Ministry of Commerce separately confirmed that both nations had agreed to a framework facilitating rare earth exports to the US and loosening certain technology restrictions. Investors are also awaiting fresh US inflation data due later in the day.
