US Stock Market Live Updates: Futures on Wall Street have tanked ahead of the resumption of regular trading after Monday's holiday. The Dow Jones futures are down nearly 750 points, while those on the S&P 500 are down 1.8%. The Nasdaq futures are down close to 2.2%. This will be the first reaction of Wall Street to US President Donald Trump's threat of imposing 10% tariff on February 1 on European allies for non-compliance for his plans to acquire Greenland. That tariff is set to rise to 25% by June if a deal is not reached by then. The European members are also preparing a set of countermeasures against the US ahead of an important meeting tomorrow. While global markets remain in risk-off mode, appetite for haven assets has only increased. Gold and Silver prices have made new highs in the global markets.
