China has repeatedly criticised the United States for its actions in Venezuela, describing them as violations of international law.

The US operation, conducted by American forces in Venezuela, resulted in Nicolas Maduro’s detention.
China’s Foreign Ministry reacted sharply when pressed by a reporter over why Venezuelan air defence equipment appeared to be of “little practical use" during the United States’ military operation that captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The US operation, conducted by American forces in Venezuela, resulted in Nicolas Maduro’s detention and transfer to the United States to face charges after strikes and a rapid assault on his stronghold. The raid drew international criticism, with Beijing among the governments condemning what it called an overreach and violation of Venezuelan sovereignty and international norms.
Rather than answering the question about the performance of specific military systems, the Chinese spokesperson responded with a forceful diplomatic statement asserting China’s position on the use of force in international affairs.
“The Chinese side firmly supports the status of Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace, opposes the use or threat of force in international relations, and opposes bullying acts that violate the UN Charter and infringe on the sovereignty of other countries," the spokesman said.
