WeWork India plans to add 3,300 desks in Hyderabad by June 2026 with an investment of ₹100 crore, funded through debt and internal accruals, to cater to rising demand and expand operational capacity.

Co-working major WeWork India Management Ltd on Thursday (January 29) said it has entered into a lease deed for capacity addition in Hyderabad, increasing its operational capacity by approximately 3,300 desks. The expansion is expected to be completed tentatively by June 2026.

The company’s existing capacity stands at 1,21,638 desks, with current utilisation at 83.9%. The proposed expansion will be funded through a combination of debt and internal accruals, with an estimated investment of ₹100 crore.

The capacity addition aims to meet incremental demand and enhance operational capacity in line with the company’s business growth plans.

This week, WeWork India said it will add about 10,000 desks through sales in the October–December 2025 quarter, marking one of its highest quarterly additions so far, Managing Director and CEO Karan Virwani said.

He said year-to-date desk sales are up nearly 40% compared with last year. The company currently has about 121,000 operational seats across 8.2 million square feet. "By the end of this financial year, we will get closer to about 130,000 seats," Virwani said.

Looking ahead, the company expects capacity expansion to continue at a similar pace. Virwani said WeWork India is likely to add 25,000–30,000 seats in the fiscal year 2026-27 (FY27), supported by recent enterprise deals and expansion of its branded flexible office spaces. “Capacity addition has been roughly in the 20% range, and it will continue at that pace,” he said.
