WhatsApp Down In US: Several users said that the app was unable to connect on DownDetector which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.

WhatsApp Outage In US: Messaging platform WhatsApp is currently down in the US as users reported that the app is not working properly. Several users said that they were unable to use the Meta-owned app, as per DownDetector which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.

Data on the Downdetector website showed that WhatsApp was inaccessible for over 9,000 people at around 9.20pm.

On the outage detection website, a user wrote, “When I open WhatsApp it keep loading forever."

Another user said, “I keep failing to register device connections with my iPhone on the WhatsApp webpage and the desktop app for Mac."

Users also took to X (formerly Twitter) to report the issues they were experiencing with WhatsApp with one posting, “Stop toggling your Airplane mode on/off. Stop refreshing your WhatsApp. It’s not your network, WhatsApp is down."

There was no immediate statement from WhatsApp on the outage.
