Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched the BJP’s poll manifesto for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections and exuded confidence in the Mahayuti’s return to power for the third term.

The BJP unveiled its 25-point poll promises in Mumbai in which Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present.

Speaking to the reporters after releasing the party manifesto, Shah also spoke about the chief ministerial face of the alliance.

“We have Eknath Shinde as our CM now and the alliance partners will decide on the CM face after the elections. Won’t give Sharad Pawar a chance," Shah said.

How did Fadnavis react to CM aspiration question?

Earlier last month, at a press conference during the induction of former Congress leader and former LoP of Mumbai Municipal Corporation Ravi Raja into the BJP, Fadnavis was asked about the CM face of the alliance, responding to which he had said, “I accept the wishes of everyone. Here, the government is going to be that of Mahayuti and not BJP".

When asked if he aspired to be the CM again, he had maintained silence while only smiling at the question.

Notably, Ravi Raja while joining the BJP termed Fadnavis as the “upcoming Chief Minister". “Greetings to current DCM and upcoming CM Devendra Fadnavis," Raja said. To this, Fadnavis said in jest, “You need to censor this".
