Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant on Tuesday demanded a ban on Hollywood movies in India in response to US President Donald Trump’s 26% tariffs on Indian exports.
“Why should we watch their movies? There is no stand of Indian government as far as US tariff hike is concerned," Sawat said while reacting to reports of China considering to ban Hollywood movies.
Opposition parties have been attacking the government after Trump imposed 26% tariff on Indian exports to the US. However, the government of India has said that discussions are ongoing between Indian and US trade teams for the expeditious conclusion of a mutually beneficial, multi-sectoral Bilateral Trade Agreement.
