The court sentenced Louise Porton to 32 years of life imprisonment for killing her two daughters who were allegedly disrupting her sex work
Louise Porton suffocated her three-year-old Lexi Draper to death and killed her 16-month-old baby daughter Scarlett Vaughan.
A mother, Louise Porton, was imprisoned for 32 years for suffocating her three-year-old Lexi Draper to death and killing her 16-month-old baby daughter Scarlett Vaughan.
Porton had killed her two children because the two were getting in the way of her sex work. When her young daughter was dying in the hospital, Porton had joked, “I had two, now down to one."
While speaking in the court trial, Porton said that her children had “got in the way of doing what she wanted, when she wanted and with who she wanted", The Sun reported.
The mother was working for a website called PurplePort and had taken the decision to prioritise her career as an escort called “Lollypop".
The mother used to leave her daughters with her relatives to hook up with her clients who paid her just £30.
How Did The Police Find That Mother Was Murderer?
On January 15, 2018, Porton killed Lexi and then dialled 999 while pretending that her daughter was ill.
When paramedics reached her house, they saw that the child’s skin was “pale and mottled and her lips were blue" and rigor mortis had already started setting in which hinted she was dead “for some time".
After 18 days, Porton again followed the same process after killing baby Scarlett.
However, she was captured driving a car on CCTV while her daughter lay dying in the back.
The mother remained “calm and emotionless" after killing her two children and was also seen laughing at a funeral parlour.
Her crimes became more clear after the police found the chilling internet searches she had done on the day Lexi died.
The mother had searched how long it takes a body to “go cold up to the shoulder" and “Is it true you s*** yourself when you die?"
She also searched “For how long after drowning can someone be resuscitated?"
The two daughters had died because of deliberate airway obstruction and none had any prior medical issues.
It was further discovered that the mother had made two failed attempts to kill Lexi. In August 2019, the court sentenced Porton to 32 years of life imprisonment.
During the sentencing Mrs Justice Yip said, “One way or another you squeezed the life out of each of your daughters, only calling the emergency services when you knew they were dead."
“I am sure at the time of the deaths, you intended to kill each of your daughters. Why you did so, only you will know," Yip added.
