Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's profile on the social media platform X, where he used to post in Hebrew, was suspended a day after it was opened amid the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
The account was suspended hours after he threatened to retaliate for the recent Israeli strike on Iran, saying, “The Zionist regime made a mistake. It erred in its calculations on Iran. We will cause it to understand what kind of strength, ability, initiative, and will the Iranian nation has”.
Khamenei opened the account to post in Hebrew, a language spoken in Israel, after Israel launched air strikes on military targets in Iran on Saturday. The @Khamenei_Heb account currently shows it has been suspended for violating X’s rules.
