Pakistan Jaffar Express Attack: The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) issued a statement saying that they hijacked the Jaffar Express, a train traveling from Quetta to Peshawar, and took 182 passengers hostage. It further said that so far, 11 Pakistani army personnel have been killed
The BLA said in a statement, “The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters, after seizing the Jaffar Express, have taken 182 hostages. So far, eleven Pakistani military personnel have been killed, and a drone has also been shot down."
BLA further asserted that it has full control of the Jaffar Express.
It further mentioned that are active-duty personnel from the Pakistani Army, Police, ISI, and ATE, who were travelling have been held as hostages. However, civilian passengers, including, women, children, senior citizens, and Baloch citizens, who were onboard the train, have been released safely and given a secure route.
“The BLA has clarified that among the hostages are active-duty personnel from the Pakistani Army, Police, ISI, and ATE, all of whom were traveling on leave. Civilian passengers, particularly women, children, the elderly, and Baloch citizens, have been released safely and given a secure route."

Warning the Pakistani army against intervention, the BLA warned that any attempt at a military operation will result in the execution of all hostages.
“The BLA further warns that if military intervention continues, all hostages will be executed. The operation is being led by the Majeed Brigade, STOS, Fatah Squad, and Zirab Unit of the BLA, and any military action will be met with a decisive response," it added.
