At least 16 people died and 14 were injured in a gas explosion during Sehri, causing a residential building collapse in Karachi, Pakistan, according to ASP Jamshed Asher.

At least 16 people, including women and children, were killed and 14 injured due to a gas explosion causing part of a residential building to collapse in Pakistan’s Karachi on Thursday, rescue officials said.
Dawn quoted Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jamshed Asher saying the incident occurred at around 4:15am during Sehri, and that the gas explosion took place on the building’s first floor.
