Apple continues to bring new products but the company is also trimming the lineup to keep the market in demand.
Apple launched plenty of new products over the course of 2025. But that means the company had to trim the lineup to keep its devices fresh and up to date in terms of the features and hardware. And unlike most brands Apple has been quick to remove some of its recent models and replace/overhaul them with better versions.

Apple has ended the iPhone SE moniker by introducing the iPhone 16e model this year. The official lineup doesn’t have any SE model which means the company is not going to make future iPhones in the SE series. This also brings the iPhone 16e as the most affordable iPhone in the market and most reports say the iPhone 17e launch is imminent.

The iPhone Air launch got a lot of attention but it has come at the expense of the iPhone Plus moniker, which is likely to have ended after a few years. The company replaced the Mini with the Plus, and now the Air model was the fourth in the lineup for Apple this year. This means iPhone 16 Plus could be part of an iconic lineup.

Apple once again refreshed its Watch Series model and discontinued the previous version. So, out goes the Watch Series 10, and in comes Series 11 with some design changes but the same hardware. You also got the new Watch Ultra 3 and the SE 3 models with their predecessors going off the shelves.

In addition to the iPhones and the Watches, Apple decided to shake up the Mac lineup as well. We saw the M4 MacBook Pro replaced with the M5 version, while the M3 MacBook Air upgraded to M4 chip, and the M2 Air model also discontinued by the company.

The USB C changes continued across 2025 as the company adapts to the lightning-to-USB C products in the market. The earpods got its own USB C version that works with the new iPhone models post 15 series.
