Apple's latest iOS beta version brings new features, fixes the older issues and bugs as the public release is less than a month away now
Apple has finally rolled out iOS 18 Public Beta 4 with new features, bug fixes and system stability improvements. In addition to iOS, the new public beta version is also available for macOS Sequoia, iPadOS 18 and other related Apple operating systems. According to the tech giant’s release notes, with the iOS 18 public Beta 4, Apple has finally renamed the Browse tab in Apple Music, which allows users to browse through artists, genres, albums and playlists to New.
Furthermore, one of the biggest highlights of the update is a dedicated Bluetooth Control Toggle for iPhone’s Control centre which allows users to turn Bluetooth On/Off simply by the control page or by the lock screen, by replacing it with the camera or flashlight icon. Previously, users needed to open the settings app to switch on or off Bluetooth.
Adding to this, Tweaks have also been introduced to app icons. This means when dark mode is activated by the user, app icons in notifications will match the theme, instead of following the standard light mode theme. Another change coming with the iOS 18 public Beta 4, is the option to custom tint the app icons for each wallpaper and lock screen combination.
How To Install iOS 18 Beta 4 Version
First thing to note is that it is mandatory to sign up for the Apple Beta program to download the iOS 18 public Beta version 4.
– Visit the beta.apple.com/ website and click on the Sign-Up button to enroll.
– Key in your login details i.e. Apple ID and Password.
– Open the Settings App on your iPhone.
– Tap on General and go to Software Updates.
– Click on the iOS 18 public Beta option from the dropdown menu.
– Return to the software update page and wait for the Download option to appear.
– Agree to Apple’s Terms and Conditions and start the download process.
– The iOS 18 public beta 4 will be installed automatically.
