Bihar Polls: The opposition’s Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) on Tuesday released its joint manifesto “Tejashwi Pran" for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls.
Several leaders, including Chief Ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Deputy CM face and VIP chief Mukesh Sahani, Congress leader Pawan Khera, and others were present during the release of the manifesto. However, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was not present at the launch.
The grand alliance’s Chief Minister face and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that he wanted to see a “Viksit Bihar" and is committed to making Bihar the No. 1 state in India.
What’s In The Manifesto?
In the manifesto, the Mahagathbandhan has promised government jobs to all families in the state. Within 20 days, one member from every family will be given a government job, the first point of the manifesto said, formalising the main promise Tejashwi Yadav has made to the voters.
He asserted that if brought to power, the INDIA bloc will definitely provide a government job to a member of each family in the state. “There is no confusion about it," he said.
The manifesto also said Jeevika Didis will be granted permanent status as government employees.
The opposition also vowed to make all contractual and outsourced workers permanent and revert to the Old Pension Scheme.
What Mahagathbandhan Leaders Said?
During the release of the manifesto, Mahagathbandhan CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav said, “Not only do we have to form the government in Bihar, we also have to make a new Bihar…The Mahagathbandhan alliance has released the Sankalp Patra for Bihar…"
He further asserted that the INDIA bloc’s manifesto is the vision document to make Bihar the number one state in the country.
Mahagathbandhan’s Deputy CM face and VIP chief, Mukesh Sahani said that the Mahagathbandhan government will work for the service of the people of Bihar for the next 30-35 years.
“Today we have launched the Sankalp Patra for a new Bihar. We will fulfil all the public’s aspirations. We will complete all the promises made to the public," he said as quoted by news agency ANI.
He claimed that the public of the state is standing in support of the Mahagathbandhan, and attacked the Democratic Alliance (NDA) for not releasing its manifesto yet.
“We are forming the government in Bihar. On the other hand, the NDA has no ‘Sankalp’," Sahani added.
Congress leader Pawan Khera said that the Mahagathbandhan was the first to announce its chief ministerial candidates and has also released its manifesto first.
