ED Unearths Huge Cash-For-Jobs Scam in TN, DMK Minister's Relative Under Scanner

This special report focuses on the Enforcement Directorate's alert to the Tamil Nadu Police regarding a large-scale cash-for-jobs scam in the state's Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, with a relative of DMK Minister K.N. Nehru allegedly linked. The AIADMK has attacked the DMK, stating that 'corruption is deeply rooted in the party and the corruption money goes to the top to the CM'. The ED alleges that bribes between ₹25 to ₹35 lakh were paid for government posts, with appointment letters being handed over by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on August 6. The agency has urged the state police to file an FIR to enable a probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
