The board of Nestle India Ltd. will be considering a bonus issue of shares on June 26, it said in an exchange filing.

This will be the first ever bonus issue in the history of the MNC FMCG major.

The company had carried out stock split in January 2024, where it split one share of ₹10 into ten shares of ₹1 each.

After Nestle India's stock split in 2024, the company has had five instances of paying dividends to its shareholders. The last five instances has seen the company pay ₹42.5 per share as dividend to its shareholders since the stock split.

Nestle India's shares will be excluded from the BSE Sensex index from June 23 as part of the index reshuffle exercise, along with IndusInd Bank. The two stocks will be replaced by the two Nifty 50 entrants, Trent and Bharat Electronics.

Nestle India's exclusion from the Sensex will result in an outflow of $209 million in the stock, according to Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research. Adjustments will be taking place on Friday, June 20.

Shares of Nestle India had ended 1.2% lower on Thursday at ₹2,313. The stock has declined 4% in the last one month, and has gained 6.6% so far in 2025.
