Vance Boelter, the suspect in the Minnesota shooting case, had reportedly texted his family hours after he executed his deadly shootout plan.
Quoting federal prosecutors, the New York Post reported that Boelter texted his family, “Dad went to war last night", soon after the assassination spree early Saturday.
The man, who killed a state representative and her husband and injured another man and his wife at their homes, sent the chilling message to his wife and other relatives in a group thread around 6.15 am the same day, the report quoted a criminal complaint.
“Dad went to war last night… I don’t wanna say more because I don’t wanna implicate anybody," Boelter, 57, allegedly wrote.
He also sent an apologetic message to his wife around the same time.
“Words are not gonna explain how sorry I am for this situation," one of his texts read, according to the report.
“There’s gonna be some people coming to the house armed and trigger-happy, and I don’t want you guys around," his message read.
