Maharashtra Election 2024: Devendra Fadnavis (PTI)
As suspense mounts over the chief minister’s post in the Mahayuti government, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday cleared the air around the top position stating that a decision in this regard will be taken soon.
He is likely to visit the national capital soon where he may meet the party’s top leadership.
Speaking to the media, he said that he will take up the role of the chief minister if the alliance decides the same.
“If they decide the Chief Ministerial post for me, I will take over that duty. Once, the decision for Chief Minister is made, we will decide on other ministerial posts keeping in mind the wishes of the alliance members," Fadnavis said.
The BJP leader will first visit Sambhajinagar to attend a private function and then attend another event in Nagpur. He is likely to visit Delhi thereafter where he is expected to meet the top leadership of the party.
