Police have arrested a 26-year-old driver for suspected drug driving after he killed one and injured two others.

A woman was killed after a van crashed into a small crowd outside King’s College London on Tuesday, news agency Independent reported. London’s Metropolitan Police said that another person is fighting for their life after being taken to the hospital and another suffered minor injuries.
An eyewitness said that the “van came from one of the side roads by the Indian embassy" while speaking to broadcaster BBC.
Police have arrested a 26-year-old on suspicion of drug driving after the accident that occurred on the Strand in central London. They have said that the incident is not being treated as terror-related.
According to a report by LBC News which cited a witness a few girls were hit. “I’m waiting for my friends to come out, they sound pretty shaken but I don’t know what they saw," the report quoted one witness as saying.
“The van came from one of the side roads by the Indian embassy and then at this point – I didn’t see how or when – it crashed into the people," the eyewitness, King’s College London student Miles Damone, said.
“I just saw it coming from there, made a sharp turn and just rammed into the fence. It rammed into the side of the church," he further added.
