A man was arrested for defacing a Tesla Cybertruck by painting a Swastika on it in New York. Tesla owner Elon Musk reacted to the incident and called the accused “crazy”.

The incident, which happened on Thursday, is the third documented attack on a Cybertruck in New York City in recent days.

Michael Lewis, 42, was in his Subaru car when he saw the electric Tesla truck parked on Washington Avenue. He got out of his car and defaced the car by scribbling a swastika on it, reported by the New York Times.

Michael then went back to his car and tried to speed off when the Cybertruck’s owner, Avi Ben Hamo, who watched the attack from the sidewalk across the street, stood in front of the car to block his getaway.

Michael then ditched his car in the bike lane and ran.

However, he was back within 90 minutes to retrieve his Subaru where he was arrested by the cops.

ELON MUSK’S RESPONSE

Tesla chief Elon Musk reacted to the incident and took a dig at the suspect’s ride Subaru. Subaru is a Japanese car manufacturer.

“Crazy people. Naturally, he drives a Subaru,” Musk posted on X reacting to the news.

Tesla vehicles, dealerships, charging stations and their owners have found themselves the target of coordinated attacks by left-wing groups since Musk’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) began cutting government spending.
