Emmanuel Macron allegedly told the actress Golshifteh Farahani, ‘I find you very pretty’.
French First Lady Brigitte Macron slapped President Emmanuel Macron during a foreign trip last year after allegedly discovering messages exchanged between him and Iranian-born actress Golshifteh Farahani on his phone, a newly published book claimed.
The book An (Almost) Perfect Couple, by journalist Florian Tardif, claimed the exchange with Farahani led to tensions between the couple before the scene in Hanoi in May last year. At the time, the Macrons said they had simply been joking around, while President Macron urged people to “calm down”.
Brigitte Macron’s representatives denied the allegations, while Farahani also rejected any relationship with the French president.
According to excerpts from the book published in French media, Macron allegedly told the actress, “I find you very pretty.” Farahani, who is known to be a staunch critic of the regime in Tehran, allegedly maintained a “platonic relationship” with Macron for several months, reports said.
