Tesla owner Elon Musk.
Billionaire Elon Musk on Wednesday hit back at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, responding to a social media post in which Trudeau stated that Canada will never be part of the United States.
In a playful yet pointed remark, Musk said, “Girl, you’re not the governor of Canada anymore, so doesn’t matter what you say."

Musk’s response followed Trudeau’s comment on X, where he wrote, “There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States. Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other’s biggest trading and security partner."

This exchange also comes as Trudeau recently announced his resignation as Canadian Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Party after months of pressure from within his party.
Trudeau, who became Prime Minister in November 2015 and is one of Canada’s longest-serving leaders, stated he would remain in office until a new Liberal leader is selected.
