Google Play Store awards 2024 version is here which tells you the best apps across categories in India.

The awards are given to the best-performing, ranked apps across categories.

Google has announced the winners of its Play Store’s Best of 2024 awards, highlighting the most innovative apps and games that captivated Indian users this year across multiple categories. In a big win for the local circuit, five out of the seven award-winning apps in India were produced by Indian developers, demonstrating the country's expanding technological prowess.

The tech giant has compiled its list of the top competitors in several categories, such as Best for Fun, Everyday Essentials, Best Multi-Device App, Best Hidden Gem and more. These categories showcase the wide range of software and games the platform offers, which appeal to a wide range of user demands and interests.

Google also stated that India has emerged as the global leader in AI mobile app downloads, accounting for 21 percent of global downloads this year. The company is home to nearly 1,000 games and apps incorporating Artificial Intelligence technology.
