Did BJP 'sponsor' Independents in J&K? State unit chief answers
Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina on Tuesday expressed confidence in the party's victory in the Union Territory, stating that the BJP will emerge as the single largest party and will form the government. Speaking to India Today TV, he also answered questions related to supporting independent candidates in the valley, saying the BJP supported independent candidates in the valley. "We have around 15 independent candidates supported by the BJP and I do hope that the majority of them will win. During the election campaign, I witnessed a large gathering in rallies organised by these independent candidates," Raina said. "See, not sponsored, but we openly supported the independent candidates...," he added while answering questions from India Today TV's Rajdeep Sardesai.
