According to the HAL CMD, the sixth engine from General Electric is ready for delivery and a total of 20 engines are expected to arrive in the second half of this year.

The Tejas Mark 1A is under review, which is expected to be completed in the month of May, according to Sunil, who added that deliveries to the airforce will begin once the review is complete.

In a clarification to the exchanges in February, HAL had said that there has been no reported crash of the LCA Tejas and that the event in question was a minor technical incident on the ground.

"As a standard operating procedure, the issue is being analysed in depth and HAL is working closely with the Indian Air Force (IAF) for a speedy resolution," HAL's filing had said.

In an interaction with CNBC-TV18, DK Sunil had mentioned that execution is not an issue for the company, adding that they have a total of 14 LCA Mk1A aircraft ready, with 24 being ready by the end of financial year 2026.

Shares of HAL are trading 0.6% lower, having recovered some ground from the lows of the day to trade at ₹3,646.8. The stock is down 8% over the last one month.
