Shares of Hi-Tech Pipes Ltd. gained 4% after the company reported its highest-ever quarterly sales volume in the March quarter, driven by strong demand and improved capacity utilisation.

The company said its sales volume rose 27% to 1,47,125 metric tonne (MT) in the fourth quarter, compared with 1,16,032 MT in the corresponding quarter last year. On a sequential basis, volumes were up around 8%.

For the full financial year 2026, its sales volumes increased about 10% to 5,32,437 MT, up from 4,85,447 MT in FY25, marking the company’s best annual performance so far.

Managing Director Ajay Kumar Bansal said the company’s record quarterly and annual volumes reflect its focus on operational efficiency, better capacity utilisation and expanding market presence. “We remain optimistic about the demand outlook and are well-positioned to sustain this growth momentum going forward,” he said.

Hi-Tech Pipes, which manufactures ERW steel tubes and pipes along with allied products, operates multiple manufacturing facilities across India with a consolidated installed capacity of over 1 million tonnes per annum.

Following the fourth quarter business update, shares of the company jumped 3.86%, hitting the intraday highs of ₹80.10. The stock has, however, pared some gains since and was trading 2.10% up at ₹78.74 as of 10.21 am. It has declined more than 31% over the past six months.
