Highlighting over 200 years of diplomatic ties, Lula emphasises his desire for a strong relationship, stating, 'I want to get along also very well with President Trump.' While acknowledging Trump's expertise in marketing and social media, Lula expresses optimism for their upcoming March meeting, focusing on trade and joint efforts to combat drug trafficking. He remains firm on protecting Brazil's sovereignty and democracy, asserting that these are not up for negotiation. Lula also reflects on his domestic mission, describing his 'war against hunger' and inequality, which has seen millions lifted out of poverty during his terms.
