Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday made a bold statement during a public gathering, declaring that if Pakistan does not surpass India in progress, “then my name is not Shehbaz Sharif."

Sharif made the remarks to a large crowd in Dera Ghazi Khan, where he also inaugurated several development projects and vowed to lead Pakistan out of its current challenges to make it a great nation.

“If we don’t leave India behind, then my name is not Shehbaz Sharif. We will make Pakistan a great nation and move ahead of India," Sharif stated while expressing his determination to outpace India.

The Prime Minister confidently proclaimed that Pakistan’s future is destined for greatness and promised to guide the country towards prosperity, as per HUM News English report.

He further emphasised that under his leadership, Pakistan would focus on building a self-sustaining economy rather than relying on loans. Sharif also pointed to the country’s recent reduction in inflation, claiming it had dropped from 40 per cent when his government took charge to just 2 per cent today.
