IRGC in Iran claimed strikes on 14 United States military bases, alleging hundreds of US troop deaths, but Washington has denied the claim.

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran claimed that it targeted 14 United States military bases in several countries following the confrontation between the two nations, killing hundreds of US troops.
However, Washington has rejected the claim. The first US base that was hit by the Iranian missiles in retaliation for the joint military attack launched by Israel and Washington was Bahrain.
A layer of thick smoke was seen billowing out from the Juffair area of Bahrain, which was home to the US Fifth Fleet Naval Base.
KHAMENEI KILLED IN STRIKES
Hours after US President Donald Trump claimed Ali Khamenei was killed in the escalation, Iranian media confirmed the death of the Ayatollah. Along with Khamenei, his daughter, grandchild, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law were also killed in the US-Israeli strikes.
The Iranian government also announced 40 days of mourning following the killing of the Ayatollah. According Iranian media reports, Khamenei was killed in the early hours of Saturday in the US-Israeli strikes.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, an image of Khamenei’s body was shown to US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Following the Ayatollah’s killing, Iranian Security Council announced Khamenei’s death will be the launchpad for “a great uprising against the tyrants".
Iranian Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Pakpour, were also killed in the strikes.

The United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran Saturday morning as negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear programme faltered, pushing the Middle East into a spiral of renewed conflict.
