Iranian Israeli War : Pakistan has conveyed to Iran that if Israel nukes Tehran, Islamabad will launch a nuclear weapon against the Jewish country, Iran’s top general claimed during an interview with the nation’s state television. However, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif denied the statement, claiming Islamabad has not made any such commitment.

“Pakistan has told us that if Israel uses nuclear missiles, we will also attack it with nuclear weapons," Turkiye Today quoted senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) general and Iranian Security Council member Mohsen Rezaei as saying.

However, no Pakistani official had made any such statement in public even after Israel launched direct strikes on Iran and its nuclear facilities on June 13. The Iranian official’s claim was later dismissed by Pakistan.
The fighting between the two enemy nations — Israel and Iran — has continued since then, with ballistic missiles and drones entering each other’s airspace.
Pakistan had vowed to “stand behind Iran", calling for Muslim unity against Israel, a Jewish country, after the attack on Tehran.
Pakistan Backs Iran In Conflict With Israel
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told the Assembly on June 14 that the Muslim nations should unite against Israel or they will “face the same fate" as Iran and Palestine.
“Israel has targeted Iran, Yemen, and Palestine. If Muslim nations don’t unite now, each will face the same fate," Turkiye Today quoted him as saying.
Asif also urged Muslim nations that have diplomatic relations with Israel to snap ties and called upon the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to convene a meeting to form a joint strategy against the Jewish country.
Citing deep ties with Iran, the Pakistani Defence Minister – who became a laughing stock for the world after an on-camera admission of Pakistan doing “dirty work" for the United States and the West for over three decades while referring to harbouring terrorists – said that Islamabad stands by Tehran.
“We stand behind Iran and will support them at every international forum to protect their interest," Asif said.
Israel launched “preemptive attacks" on Iran on June 13, targeting their nuclear programme and killing top military officials and scientists linked to the nuclear campaign. PM Benjamin Netanyahu named the attacks as ‘Operation Rising Lion’. The following night, Iran retaliated with ‘Operation True Promise 3’ against Israel and fired ballistic missiles, triggering fears of a wider regional conflict.
The fighting has now continued for four days, with the latest round of missile and drone attacks taking place on Sunday night.
