Israel launches massive airstrikes on Beirut, southern Lebanon; over 100 dead

Israel has launched large-scale airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut's southern suburbs and southern Lebanon. The Israeli Defence Forces struck Hezbollah command centres, weapons depots, missile launch sites, intelligence facilities, and leadership figures. The strikes came after Hezbollah fired rockets and drones into Israel, further escalating the conflict along the Israel-Lebanon border. Mass evacuation warnings were issued to residents in several areas before the strikes commenced. Over 100 deaths and tens of thousands of civilians have been displaced in Lebanon. Hezbollah has also launched missiles and drones towards northern Israel and warned Israeli border residents to evacuate.
