External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Marco Rubio, the new US secretary of state, will hold a bilateral meeting on Tuesday, sources told News18.
Both ministers will also attend the Quad foreign ministers’ meeting, the first under Trump 2.0, the sources further added.
US President Donald Trump’s choice for secretary of state, Marco Rubio, who is known for being a backer of India and a China-hawk, was unanimously confirmed for the role on Monday. This marks his first appointment in the new administration.
All 99 senators present, including Rubio himself, voted in favour of his confirmation.
